Medical research data collection

The information recorded about you may be used for reasons other than your personal care, for example, to help to protect the health of the general public, to plan for the future, to train staff and to carry out medical and other health research.

Mitcham Family Practice is proud to be a Research Ready Accredited Practice. We work collaboratively with the NIHR Clinical Research Network which is the Research arm of the NHS.

Clinical Research is very important to improve care, treatments and ultimately patients’ quality of life.

If you are a patient at the practice, you may receive invitation letters to ask if you wish to take part in a research study. Joining in a research study is completely voluntary. If you do not wish to take part in research studies then please let the practice know.
